The authors playfully deliver the content but also in a clear and intentional manner, and include a list of resources for beginners to explore further. The authors write from a perspective of understanding the hesitance, fear, and enthusiasm of readers who are new to kink and approach all topics with noticeable caution. They attempt to normalize the diverse preferences when it comes to BDSM, and they encourage everyone to be confident in their kinks. They further highlight the real-life traumatic experiences that can often come up during play and urge the readers to seek professional help when needed.
